Embassy Suites by Hilton Brownsville Breaks Ground

The City of Brownsville held a groundbreaking ceremony on Monday, October 27, 2025, for the Embassy Suites by Hilton that Ruby Red Hospitality is building at 3301 Pablo Kisel Boulevard, at Springmart Boulevard. In its announcement the next day, the city said the hotel will be the largest Embassy Suites in the Rio Grande Valley.
According to the city, the seven-story, 95-foot hotel will have 170 rooms, 178 parking spaces, a resort-style pool and meeting space, representing an investment of about $10 million.
Mayor John Cowen Jr. called the project more evidence of Brownsville's growth. City Manager Helen Ramirez credited the mayor, the city commission and the city's executive team with bringing the largest Embassy Suites in the Valley to Brownsville.
The hotel is Ruby Red Hospitality's first in Brownsville. The company also runs the Embassy Suites by Hilton McAllen Convention Center. You can follow this project and the rest of our pipeline on the In development page.
